E-mail Services FAQ's
Are there any
limits I should know about on how many E-Mails I can send
out?
First off, be aware that E-Mail usage will count against
your transfer usage. There is no limit to the number of
E-Mails you can send out.
How can I access webmail
outside of cPanel?
You can access your account's webmail (either Horde or
Neomail) by typing in http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail.
A prompt will appear asking for your email username (yourname@yourdomain.com)
and your password.
How do I setup Microsoft
Outlook/Outlook Express with my account's email?
In Outlook or your preferred mail program, choose to create
a new mail account. Enter the settings below.
E-Mail Address (username) : username@yourdomain.com
Incoming Mail Server: yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: yourisp SMTP Server
With "My Outgoing Mail Server Requires Authentication"
checked.
(To change the authentication setting above, go to Tools
-> Accounts -> Choose the E-Mail account -> Click
Properties -> Click the Servers tab -> Near the bottom
is the checkbox for this function)
It has been found that some mail accounts work with this
(SMTP Authentication), and some don't, it's just try it
on, try it off. If you get errors when sending E-Mail, then
this option needs to be switched in your settings.
Some ISP's block Port 25 for outgoing mail, if this is
the case for your ISP, you can edit the Port to 26.
How many E-Mail accounts
can I setup?
As many as you would like, however, be aware that E-Mail
storage does count against your total usage of space. As
does E-Mail transfer.
How many email accounts
can I forward to with the email forward?
You can setup as many forwarders as you'd like. If you
want one account to mail to multiple accounts (a forward
to two addresses), just setup two entries in your cPanel.
My domain is working
but my email is not, how come?
Your domain propagates in several stages. If your domain
is working properly in less than 72 hours your mail might
need some more time to activate.
It can take up to 5 days for your domain to fully propagate
