Domain Registrations & DNS FAQ's
Can I register my domain name anywhere?
Yes, you can register your domain anywhere you'd like.
Can you host .ca?
.nl? .us? others?
We can host ANY domain. Just as long as you have the ability
to point it at our nameservers. If you're unsure, try setting
your domain's nameservers to the settings described in your
welcome email, if you receive an error, then it may be likely
that your registrar requires additional configuration. Inquire
with them on what the issue may be.
I have more than
one domain, can I host them both with a shared plan? / Can
I have more than one domain with my account?
Yes, you can host as many 'addon' or 'parked' domains as
you'd like, on top of your main domain.
Note: For Addon domain you
have to upgrade the service
(We do not limit the number of add-on domains you can have.
The only limitation is your available space and bandwidth.)
Parked Domain: Allows you to point a domain name at your
main website.
Addon Domain: Allows you to setup a separate domain with
it's own files. You will only have ONE cPanel for administration
of all domains.
Can you register
.us, .biz, .tv, .ws, .name etc domains?
We currently offer the following TLD's: .com, .net, .org,.co.in,
.info, .biz, .us, .tv, .ws, .nu, .bz, .cc, .ca, .co.uk,
.org.uk, .name, .com.cn, .net.cn, .org.cn, .tm, .cn, .com.mx
and .kids.us.
What is domain parking?
Domain parking refers to the process of adding additional
domain names to a hosting account with all of the domain
names resolving to the account's index page.
Example:
maindomain.com -> http://maindomain.com/index.html
parkeddomain.com -> http://maindomain.com/index.html
All our accounts include the ability to park at least
up to 10 extra domains, again with all of the domains directing
traffic to a single index page (i.e. one website which can
be accessed using multiple domain names).
A common example of domain parking would be a company who
purchases the rights to theircompanyname.com and theircompanyname.net
and wishes to have users be able to get to their site via
either domain.
