Control Panel FAQ's

Accessing your control panel

Your control panel is accessible via any of the following links:
http://yourdomain.com/cpanell/
http://yourdomain.com:2082

The control panel runs on port 2082 so if you are behind a firewall or proxy server you might have trouble accessing your control panel if that port is blocked. Unfortunately, there is no way around this and the only resolution is to talk to your Network Adminstration about opening up that port for you.

How do I create subdomains?

To create a subdomain, log into your control panel and click on the Add Subdomains icon. Specify the name you wish to assign to your subdomain and click the Add button.

Once the subdomain has been created there will be a new subdirectory in your public_html folder bearing the same name as the new subdomain. Upload the index page for your subdomain to that folder.

As far as relative paths are concerned the subdirectory containing the subdomain will be handled as if it were the root web accessable directory on a separate account when accessed via the subdomain URL (subdomain.domain.com).

While the content within the folder can be accessed via either http://subdomain.domain.com and http://domain.com/subdomain any image or link tags which are set to call files using relative paths would be expected to function using the subdomain URL and fail calling the subdomain via it's actual "true" URL (http://domain.com/subdomain).

How do I find the stats for a subdomain?

To view the stats of a subdomain, you just need to go to:
http://subdomain.yourdomain.com/stats/

How do I view a subdomain's Webalizer stats?

While only the Webalizer stats for your main domain will be linked under the "Statistics Page" icon in your control panel Webalizer stats are created and maintained automatically for all subdomains you create.

The statistics which are based on the raw access logs for each subdomain can be viewed by bringing up the following URL:
http://subdomain.domain.com/stats/
